Teen Patti Card Ranks you should know about

Published

The card game of Teen Patti is played in two different ways. The first one is by using a standard 52-card deck and the second one is by adding the two extra Joker cards, which are also called the wild cards. The basic objective of the game is to get the best three-card hand and to win the pot before the final showdown.

The card categories of the basic version are ranked as follows:

Trio

A Trio is three cards of the same ranks. Three aces are the highest and three 2s is the lowest trio.

Straight flush

The straight flush is also known as pure sequence. Three consecutive number cards of the same suit. For example, the order of ranking from to lowest is: A-K-Q, A-2-3, K-Q-J, Q-J-10, and so on to 4-3-2. (K-A-2) is not considered a straight flush, but is a valid flush.

Color

If in the game of Paytm Teen Patti two players have flushes, the player having high card wins but if two players have the same card values, then the hands are ranked by color, with spades at first and clubs last.  Color means that a player gets three cards of the same color.

Pair or double

Two cards have the same rank numbers.

If two players have pairs, then the one with the higher value is the winner but if the pairs are of equal value, then the winner is decided by the value of the third card. For example, Player 1 has 88A and Player 2 has 88K then, in this Player 2 wins as the third card A is higher than K.

High card

Most common card rank is High Card. If two players share a common high card, then the rest of the cards are compared for deciding the winner.
